INTRODUCTION
Diploma in Textile Design is a 3-year diploma level course segregated into six semesters. The eligibility criterion for this course is 10th or 10+2 students on the basis of high school performance.
This is an introductory course for budding minds to explore broad range of textile processes with theoretical perspectives based on the practices of textile design along with the platform of early opportunities to develop skills in colour, drawing, and design, computer skills to plan, develop and expose talent in his desired field. This course is often recruited by top textile plants and companies which undergo researches in the same sector; making one eligible for a career with the bigwig personalities leading garment designers or apparel manufacturers. nbsp; The department is well equipped with Knitting Lab, Printing Lab., Garment Design Lab. and Textile Testing Lab. Keeping in view the future trends in Textiles, Textile course attracts many opportunities in fields of Computer Aided Textile Design & Fashion Technology.
To achieve this, the department of Textile Design has introduced courses in AUTO CAD and Textile Related Specialized Software. After completion of these courses, the students acquire the skills & knowledge to be absorbed in computerized Textile Design Department, Fashion Industry (Garment Export House) or Production Department in Weaving, Printing & Knitting.
